Childrens Lavender Lemon Drop Bath

Most parents are in a routine and are giving their little ones their evening bath before bedtime. If your child is having a hard time getting calmed down and is somewhat restless why not try a lavender lemon drop bath? Lavender is very soothing and we have added the lemon drops to make it a little more suitable for “little men”, and it also has cleansing properties. Using this essential oil mixture during bath time will be comforting while smelling the aromatherapy mixture. Lavender has calming and soothing properties that should help your child unwind and hopefully relax to get a good nights sleep.

You will need to start the bath to a temperature suitable for your child, make sure to never leave them unattended, and make sure you are the one adding the essential oils. When using essential oils for children less seems to be the best, we do not want to cause and skin irritation. After the bath water is to the amount you would like add 3 drops of Lavender and 3 drops of Lemon essential oils and give it a good swirl with your hands to mix the oils into the bath water. If you would like to use this recipe for yourself (An Adult) I recommend adding 2 more drops of each and about 1 cup of Epson salt. It will help you relax as well and you should be counting sheep soon thereafter too. The lavender is relaxing and the lemon is refreshing and cleansing. Enjoy!
